About the Author
Thomas H. Olbricht was born in Thayer, Missouri, and lived in Thayer and Alton from 1929-1947. He has received degrees from Northern Illinois University, University of Iowa, and Harvard Divinity School. Pepperdine University conferred the DHL on Olbricht in 2011. Olbricht has taught at Iowa, Harding, University of Dubuque, Penn State, Abilene Christian, and Pepperdine, and has written and or edited twenty-five books, including Missouri Memories 1934-1947. His ancestors have lived in Missouri since 1850 and obtained degrees from Missouri State and the University of Missouri. Olbricht has taught Pepperdine Off-Campus Graduate courses in the Red Bridge area of Kansas City.
