Here is a great new post from The Write Practice by Michael Mahin which focuses on attitude. There are numerous studies that show that one’s attitude is a major determining factor in success (not to mention well-being). Mahin applies this quality to writers.
The post is full of excellent advice, with plenty of examples and links to more information. For example, here is a list of common attitudes among successful writers interviewed by Susan Perry.
- An openness to experience
- A willingness to take risks
- The ability to be absorbed
- Resilience
Read Mahin’s full post—I highly recommend it (it’s a short read).
