About the Author
Dyron B. Daughrity, PhD, is the William S. Banowsky Chair in Religion and Professor of Religion at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. He holds a PhD from the University of Calgary in the History of Religious Movements and Institutions. Daughrity serves as Senior Minister at Hilltop Church of Christ, where he began preaching in 2023. His ministry career spans over three decades, including roles as a youth minister, pastor in Canada and Southern California, and global traveler with a focus on India. He is passionate about sharing Christ’s love, writing on Christian themes, playing basketball, and hosting friends. Married to Sunde (Gibson) since 1996, he has four children.
