Dyron B. Daughrity’s new Bible study from Keledei Publications guides readers through one of the least understood books of the New Testament, out today in paperback and ebook.

Keledei Publications, an imprint of Sulis International Press, today published Perfected in Christ: A Journey through the Book of Hebrews by bestselling author Dyron B. Daughrity. It is the newest volume in the Living God’s Word Bible study series.

Two rooms. A curtain soaked in centuries of ritual blood. Then the curtain tears in two. That image is the hinge on which Hebrews turns, and Daughrity builds his study around it. Hebrews is one of the richest, most argument-driven books in the New Testament. Most readers can summarize Romans. Ask them to summarize Hebrews and you get a shrug.

Writing from within the Christian tradition, Daughrity follows the letter’s own argument. Hebrews opens with a claim most readers never quite catch: Jesus is not one more voice in a long line of prophets and priests but the final word. Across thirteen chapters it makes the case that the old covenant was a shadow of something greater. Chapter by chapter, Daughrity shows why Hebrews presents Jesus as greater than the angels, greater than Moses, and greater than the priestly system of ancient Israel. He does not treat Paul as the author. In the title, “perfected” means being brought to completion through Christ’s sacrifice, not flawless performance.

Readers meet Melchizedek, the mysterious king-priest from Genesis who becomes the key to Jesus’s priesthood. They step inside the ancient tabernacle to see what its curtains and furniture were pointing toward. They also stand among the “Hall of Faith” of Hebrews 11, ordinary people who trusted a God they could not see. Chapter titles such as “Beware of the Drift,” “Anchor Down,” “The Perfect Boss,” and “Clean-Up on Aisle Nine” set the tone. Daughrity reads Hebrews as pastoral urgency aimed at people who are tired, afraid, and tempted to drift. Its refrain is plain: don’t drift, don’t shrink back, hold your confidence.

The book is written for personal devotion, small-group study, and anyone who has always meant to understand Hebrews and never quite gotten there. It continues Daughrity’s chapter-by-chapter Bible studies from Keledei, including Following Jesus and Joy in the Morning. In the introduction he frames the question at its center: “The curtain has already been torn. The question this book asks, again and again, is simply: now that the way is open, will you walk through it?”
